Blog Entry: As a person I'm all about fun, believe me. But this bits not about me. Its about principles and they are important. This sounds stern. And it is a little bit ... When it comes to independent movie making I believe in passion, creativity, storytelling, exploration, direction and style. I look for artistic integrity, teamwork, communication, organisation and mutual respect. Working environments are fruitful when playful yet focused. Words like; hobby, TBA, pencil, go for it, be better, talking props, will get a copy, feed & water you - turn my stomach. 'Directing' is not just holding a camera. Improvising a script rarely works without there having been one there in the first place. Crap scripts ruin any scene no matter how pretty. Lighting and sound are everything. Aim for the best. Less is more. Time is money. and my most favourite word of all time... 'Schedule' xxxx
