Title: My experience as an actor
Category: just wanna make movies
Blog Entry: I've been an actor for 7 years now and have been in about 8 low budget films, mainly with S N Sibley as Davro the Criminal Mastermind, a nemesis of the positive character of Axel Falcon, for example 'A Home for the Bullets' is on the IMDb, as well as helping out with documentaries like Darlow Smithson and Student projects. To get into the industry in my time of life it made sense to me to go to college and study and experience some of the different types of performing arts, from which I've picked out what I've agreed with and what I haven't. I prefer David Mammot's and Sanford Meisner's ideas on acting which makes acting more incidental, whatever happens on stage or in front of a camera happens, and you can get some magic moments of naturalness, that way making it more real than the paint by numbers, 'I must scratch my nose at a certain point' or 'think of my poor dead puppy', which is, I think divorces you largely from any interaction with any other performers unless you're meant to be aloof. Now that could be another tool in the toolbox so to speak come to think of it. I've also been involved in 8 non-professional musicals, which are in a different category from natural acting, but it's good to take on different skills and styles. And Davro the Criminal Mastermind as mentioned above, well he's more like a pantomime figure , yet another tool in the box I suppose.
